To better guide surgeons of different experience levels and in different levels of practice, we have developed a formula for recommended maximum safe volume of liposuction that integrates a risk assessment model in a mobile device application format. This application will generate individual guidelines for safer patient care based on the qualities and needs of each patient and in the environment in which the procedure is being performed. Utilization and continued input will be necessary to fully establish recommendations based on users’ experience and the recommendations of other experienced plastic surgeons. The application will be free and in time will allow for data collection, analysis and refinement.
